This hand-built fused glass sculpture translates a clay-sculpted face into translucent form, using a kiln-fired drape mold to shape the features. The rectangular structure folds gently around the visage, giving it a mask-like presence.
Fine red glass lines trace across the muted amber surface, skimming the eyes, nose, and mouth. The piece reads as both fragment and portrait, suited to display on a shelf or pedestal where light can catch its subtle contours.
